Why he watched it: Had heard her famous comedy routine
His rating: 4 out of 5 stars
His review: Documentaries need something that holds our attention, that makes us want to watch the real world through the camera’s lens. While the start of this documentary is the classic comedy routine that Tig Notaro gave following a serious illness, her mother’s death, and her own diagnosis of cancer; at the end, it becomes a love story as Tig finds her path through tragedy. She is an interesting person, and this is an honest, respectful film of her life.
