Why we watched it: Was on list of best documentaries
Our rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Our review: Little of the information in this documentary is new, now; it was probably quite revealing when first released. Despite this, it still is important for the picture it portrays of a military and political structure that lost its perspective at a critical moment in history. What I took away from it was that America needed leaders, at this major crisis, who were able to see beyond the immediate emotion. Leaders who were able, as one interviewee stated, to give rules to those most directly need of them. Yet those leaders did the opposite–they allowed rules of humanity to be violated, just like the prisoners in the military prisons.
